At Mountain Valley Honey, we’re a small, family‑run apiary nestled right here in the heart of the Jonathan Creek community. What began as a shared dream between my wife and me has grown into something real and buzzing with life, officially taking flight in 2026.
We’re proud to raise our bees in the shadow of the old Appalachian mountains, where the air is clean, the seasons are honest, and the land still feels like home. Every jar of honey we harvest reflects the wildflowers, forests, and mountain valleys that surround us — and the care we pour into our hives every single day.

What We're Doing Now
Getting ready for our new colonies
At Mountain Valley Honey, we are dedicated to nurturing our new colonies and ensuring the health of our bees. Currently, we are in the learning and preparation phase, attending bee school and getting ready for our first two hives, which are expected to arrive in April. Our commitment to doing things the right way is paramount, as we believe that healthy bees lead to amazing raw honey. As we progress, we look forward to offering raw Appalachian honey and handcrafted beeswax products. Stay tuned for all things bee-related as we embark on this sweet journey.
